I really don't care whether or not anybody from this forum will like me or my
post but I really feel that this needs to be addressed here in this forum.
I personally resent yuppies from Corporate America buying up loft spaces and
forcing the artists out of their community in which the artists have struggled
to build a home and artistic environment for themselves. Since the income of
the artists are much lower than that of the yuppies, it would be very difficult
for them to relocate and even find an apartment that would be within their
income range. Yuppies buy of the loft spaces to impress their
friends and family but they really don't need to have that much space, much
less a loft space to live in.
Of course, yuppies are so hypocritical and that they go to the art shows in
which they generally don't know very much about art, which doesn't surprise me.
When they look at art, they see it mainly as decorative art; what looks good in
their office. They don't know anything about the artist and of course will
stereotype artists in a very disrespectful manner, not only that, but they have
a known reputation for mocking artists which goes to show the
lack of respect that they have for the artist community as a whole.
