RSmart Inc. is seeking to fill an Implementation Programmer/Analyst
position. Responsibilities include implementation of the DARS/CAS Degree
Audit Systems at various customer sites, and custom integration with
existing Student Information Systems. The DARS software was originally
developed at Miami University, Ohio, in a mainframe COBOL environment, and
has recently been ported to UNIX and NT client/server platforms, as well as
the web. You will be responsible for analyzing the implementation issues,
planning the implementation timetable, and working with customers to
complete all implementation tasks, including software installation, data
migration, custom programming, and user training.
Qualifications/Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
· At least 2-5 years experience in a higher education data processing setting.
· Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to interact with
numerous customers in the assessment, planning, and implementation phases.
· Strong knowledge of COBOL (preferably MicroFocus). Knowledge of C/C++,
CGI, and relational databases with emphasis on Sybase and Oracle.
· Proficiency with personal computers and related tools, as well as a good
understanding of client server and web architecture.
· Willingness and ability to learn new technologies.
· Requires considerable travel.
