Cloaks,

Mitch and Jeremy beg the question which we have
all pondered regarding what to do next in response
to the attack on the Liberty.

We might have first asked this question in 1968
when
the USS Pueblo was attacked and taken captive to
Wonson. Like the situation with the USS Pueblo,
US
leadership allowed delicate politics to stand in
the
way of a Teddy Roosevelt or Harry S. Truman
response
when Liberty was attacked. Had there been a 'big
stick'
reaction to North Korea, Israel might have decided
against the attempt to sink our US warship in
international waters.

But Pueblo and Liberty is past history. Now what?

We have a current president who says what he will
do and
given cause, does it. He holds the greatest 'big
stick'
in all of military history and has proven time and
again
he will use it. I think the world well knows that
any US
warship attacked in international waters in the
future -
by any government - will suffer terribly. What
next? I
don't expect a third incident.

What I never hear, in these discussions, is the
answer to one simple
question. Okay, Israel deliberately attacked the
Liberty. Now what?
