Hi Jim:
Clay shapers look like a long artist's paint brush with a black rubber end.
Each shaper is cut at a different angle and size. The shaper may be used
like a carving tool or a tool to smooth out the clay it tight areas. There
are several shapers that are pointed which helps to dig into these tight
places. I use mine for this reason but also for texturing or to create
patterns. They do not stick to the clay. However, they should be used on
plastic clay because the tips are somewhat soft.
