----------------------------Original message---------------------------- ------------------ Here is a glaze that someone gave me; I really like the texture (matt) & the colour, but it settles like a rock. What can I add to it?

----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Lesley, I'm not surprised this settles so bad with that much Neph Sy. It's notorious for that. It is possible you could recalculate this glaze using a feldspar and taking out some of the silica, but the first thing I'd try would be adding some bentonite. Try 2% added to the dry ingredients before you put it into the water. Hope this helps. Paul Lewing, Seattle
