self-check users

Self-Check users, do you also have problems with the printers?
The ribbon is constantly slipping and the entire thing should be
larger so as to accommodate a larger paper roll. Does anyone
have any ideas or has 3M been at all responsive? Thanks.

We are on the Dynix system and have been using a Self-Check unit for 3
years. We haven't had any trouble with our receipt printer -- it is a
Citizen iDP 3530 and uses 3 inch regular rolls of adding machine paper.
With one unit in our 25,000 sq/ft branch, we've been averaging between
10% and 12% of first time checkouts, or 45,000-50,000 circulations per
year. Does anyone else have figures we could compare this against?
