The last typeterm definition which was installed in your list is not
necessarily the one that is being used during autoinstall. ( this is my
opinion ).
I have found this to be the case if you have two or more separate groups
containing the same typeterm definition, and in the install list there is a
terminal definition after the first typeterm definition and before the next
typeterm definition.
I believe what happens is that the first typeterm definition gets installed
and then a terminal definition gets installed using the first typeterm
definition. The next install of the same typeterm definition installs
successfully (according to CICS) but I believe that this is not the case,
because the typeterm definition that was originally installed is currently
in use and cannot be discarded.
Also, discarding any definitions beginning with DFH* is restricted by CICS.
We have found that ensuring that there are no duplicates is the safest
method of avoiding problems.

In reference to the autoinstall process, I'd like to ask what happens if VTAM
definition for CICS terminals are duplicates. For instance, one Vtam
appl definition contains LCST070 and an other contains TCPTT070; since
CICS only gets last four characters of these, T070 would be duplicates,
even though this definitions are legal for VTAM.
Would this cause problem?
