I want to exit from cics to vtam executing a Fp key. The problem is how
can i execute the transaction and finish it at the same time.
thanks

Simply set the PF key to execute the "CSSF LOGOFF". This will
take it back to VTAM.

Add EXEC CICS ISSUE DISCONNECT and you'll return to VTAM USSTAB or VTAM
session manager, if you are using one.

Hello:

I have not tried this, but you might.

In your application, you might code something like:

IF EIBAID = DFHCLEAR
EXEC CICS SET TERMINAL(EIBTRMID) RELEASED END-EXEC.

The above example is COBOL and is valid in CICS/ESA 4.1. You
might have to use ACQSTATUS(cvda) for an earlier version of CICS.
Including the PURGE option on the command terminates the session
immediately instead of waiting until the current transaction
ends.

Please let me know if this works for you. Good luck.

Write a transaction that does:

EXEC CICS SIGNOFF
EXEC CICS ISSUE DISCONNECT
EXEC CICS RETURN

and assign it to a PF key

The easiest way is to EXEC CICS ISSUE DISCONNECT.
