The Prophetic Office is totally different.
God more often than not is speaking to his people.
We are usually talking at God with our fingers stuck
in our ears.
STEP OUT in faith...and bless.
Emotionalism, satanism, humanism will all try to
interrupt the inspirational, but by faith speak.
Emotion does not have divine power, satan will not
encourage but condemn and humans do not know what
the hearts and minds of men are made of. So when
you speak remember that you are trying to help.
Luck is not a part of faith!!!!
Daniel...
This was a brief answer to questions asked by Wolfgang Hutter
Paul also said that he felt it would be better for all to be celebate as he
was. It is dangerous to take his personal desire as Godly advice without
additional evidence. Paul noted that the gifts of the spirit were
distributed according to the will of God. If it is God's will that I should
have the gift of prophecy, then I will, but if I do not have that gift it is
not a sign of a lack of spirituality, which is what you seem to be saying here.
Peace,
Dave

I would not say it is a lack of spirituality. But if you are looking for the
Holy Spirit to Yell or to grab or to force you to prophecy...it will not happen.
YOU have to step out in faith.
Test Him. Do you think you are going to hurt God's reputation or his word?
You must diligently seek the Lord...and ACT upon His Word. Would you be saved
if you did not openly confess that Jesus is Lord? Why should I have to speak it
?
I believe it. I just don't want to force my beliefs on others.
Gimme a break!
The Holy Spirit is a gentleman, and if you decide to just sit there in your
comfort zone...then no one will get blessed. However, by grace through faith
believe that what you hear (In the same place...that you know that you know that
Jesus is Lord) is going to be a blessing wehn spoken.
I have had my life threatened many times...
I have have seen healing occur instantly...
I have seen people cry...
I have seen them laugh...
I have seen them shout...
I have seen them repent...
I have seen them saved...
Now would I have experienced any of these if I kept quiet?
Ya know I was just thinking by revelation of a pepperoni pizza...
It couldn't be God. NOT.
Now...not everytime have I seen direct results but I am still willing
to speak out...step out.
Have you ever prayed for the sick?
Have you ever preached the Word to an absolute stranger in the middle
of public.
If you have not...Why?
Because you or whoever...will not step out in faith.
BY GRACE. (I didn't earn it, and I couldn't do it without him)
Daniel
Ummm - how about "you shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test."? I
don't think that was the phrase you wanted to use here.
>Have you ever prayed for the sick?
yup
>Have you ever preached the Word to an absolute stranger in the middle
>of public.
nope -- personal reasons that are completely valid -- it ain't my calling.
>If you have not...Why?
>
>Because you or whoever...will not step out in faith.
Some of us don't believe that every Christian has to be a cookie cut mold of
the next Christian. I have my ministeries and callings, prophecy and public
ministery (while both very valuable) aren't them.
Again, you are comming very close to saying something that I don't think you
really mean -- which is that if you aren't prophecising, you aren't doing
everything _YOU_ could do for God. I know this is not what you are saying,
but it certainly comes close to looking like that is what you are saying.
Perhaps you could word it better and I could then see what it is you are
trying to say.
>BY GRACE. (I didn't earn it, and I couldn't do it without him)
