He Who Has Ears ministries
PURPOSE
He Who Has Ears is a non-profit organization designed to reach high school
and college students through relational ministry, contemporary music and
personal testimonies. The purpose of the ministry is to encourage people to
begin or to strengthen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
THE MUSIC
James Collins has been writing original music since he became a Christian in
1984. He offers a concert with music that includes a mixture of acoustic
guitar, electric guitar, and a piano in a contemporary folk/jazz/rock style.
James usually closes the performance with his testimony about growing up and
seeing God change his and his family's lives.
RELATIONAL MINISTRY
Our program is actually much more than just showing up for the concert. We
feel that integration into your group reinforces involvement with the
performance. We usually arrive a day before the concert to meet everyone. We
like to hang out with students: volleyball, movie nights, sing-a-longs,
whatever...so that we can get to know each other. On the day of the concert we
do whatever your group has planned, which in the past has included Habitat for
Humanity projects, dorm evangelism, mission discussions, sports, and the like.
PERFORMANCE
An evening performance open to the public has been the most spirited in the
past with plenty of free time after the concert for prayer, ministry,
questions, etc. We have seen a great number of people giving or recommitting
their lives to Jesus Christ during these post-concert times. More often than
not, we end up talking with people until late in the evening.
PAYMENT
We believe that money should not be a hindrance for people to hear about
Jesus Christ. He Who Has Ears ministries has various methods and plans for
fund-raising, advertising, and maximizing our time with your group.
We also encourage community involvement whenever possible. Sharing
responsibilities between schools and churches builds community relationships
and can provide additional support.
He Who Has Ears ministries does not prefer to charge admission or accept
"love offerings" for concerts. To support our ministry concert series, we
request $500-$1000 and food/lodging during our stay. This price is the single
performace cost which includes the entire team. We have seen God procide
complete support for groups that were unable to support us.
As we do with all invitations, please pray about this within your
organization. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
