o'clock AM. Beloved husband of Judy A. Williams Adams. Son of the late
Laten J. Adams, Sr. and Mary Lena Slater, Father of Alitalia Adams,
Sharon Adams and Reginald Adams, Brother of Barbara J. Taylor, Era,
Auroland, Edward and John Adams, James and Carl Smith, and the late
Alton
Smith and Alvin Adams. Son-in-law of Mrs. Thelma Roberts of Lafayette,
LA. Also survived by eight sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members
of Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, LA., True Vine
Bapist
Church and St. James Methodist Church of Louisiana, officers and members
of Rhythm and Blues Foundation of Washington, D.C., Rounder Records,
Musicians' Mutual Protection Union Local 174-496, New Orleans Jazz and
Heritage Foundation, Festival Productions, Inc. of New Orleans. Rock N
Bowl, Tipitina"s. The Neville Brothers, Mike Edmonson and Lawrence
McCleary - Louisiana State Police and The Office and Staff of Governor
Mike Foster, Doctors Frederick Billings and Ronald Kuhn and Their
Nurses,
Staff at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, all musicans and
musical colleagues are invited to attend the services. A visitation and
musical tribute will be held at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933
Washington
Avenue on Thursday, September 17, 1998 from 4 PM until 7 PM, Tribute to
begin at 7 PM, Rev. Donald Jeanjacques officiating. Funeral Service will
be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 18, 1998 at 11 AM, Rev.
Joseph A. Tilly officiating. A Traditional Jazz Funeral to follow.
Interment Providence Memorial Park Cemetery.
