Sadly prophetic, but still well worth a listen. Stevie sat in and recorded with a number of legends--but this tune is one of my faves.

A.C. Reed was one crazy MFer. LOL. This song is from his only release on Alligator Records, from the late 1980s,I think, called "I'm In The Wrong Business". Bonnie Raitt played on another song for the same recording (she was doing A.C. A favor -- he played on Bonnie's first album circa 1970).

During the last decade of his life, ol' A.C. played at least one full weekend per month at Chicago's Kingston Mines. I remember him telling me a few times about the lengths he had to go to in order to get Stevie onto that record. "I had to go down there to Texas five f-ing times!!!!", he used to say.

I'll never know whether it was true or not, though. After all, what can one expect from a blues player who has the slogan "THE MAN WHO'S FULL OF SHIT" stuck on the front of his amp? LOL
