I've been listening to this tune and I'm wondering if there are two guitar
players on it (poss. Elvie Thomas?). It really sounds like two, especially
during the turnaround... Can anybody shed a little light on this?
Thanks,
Frank
I know what you mean; i hear a bit of that during the break...if there
is a second guitar, it's poorly miked. I have no information on the
session, but logically, one would expect that if there were a second
guitarist, it would have been Elvie Thomas.
Which brings me to a question...in "Pick Poor Robin Clean," the duet
between Thomas and Wiley, Elvie begins by saying something like, "Hello,
Geeshie," to which Geeshie replies by saying something like, "Hello,
Snacks," or "Hello, Smacks" -- apparently Elvie's nickname. Anyone have
a clue or an opinion (or both) as to what Geeshie is saying there?
