Hi All
This ends my special mid week blues, the show aired between 2 & 5pm Wed
afternoon.
It was a extra special show as I played all the song titles that were
featured in the comic book series SCOUT by Tim Truman. this series came out
more then a decade ago. It was partially due to this series that I started
doing my blues show and I had been contemplating doing this show for quite
some time. I have just recently asked Tim's permission if I could air this
and he said that I could. So here it is songs #7 through 32 are mostly the
featured titles.I tried to keep it as true to Tim's Vision as possible but I
couldn't a couple of them and I also couldn't find some of the originals.
I would also like to point out that there are so great new releases out
this time around. I just received Big daddy G TOPLESS and it is one hot
item. You will need to be TOPLESS with this one, featuring guest artists
Dutch Mason, Teddy Leonard, Donnie" Mr.DOWNCHILD" Walsh, Tony D, Dawn Tyler
Watson, & a virtual who's who of Canadian Blues. Regular band mate Tortoise
Blue is slowly becoming a great Blues singer to top off his great Hammond
work and amazing harmonica fills. Tortoise & BDG are a great duo and maybe
next time they will record as such. From duo to a TRIO, Tremor records from
Fergus, Ont. have released an amazing cd by Bill Bourne, Lester Quitzau &
Madagascar Slim titled TRI-CONTINENTAL. With Bill on Acoustic, Lester on
Slide & Slim with Hendrix inspired Electric this release smokes from start
to finish. The diversity of the artist couple together nicely. From Telarc
records there are also a couple of new ones Pine Top Perkins has BACK ON TOP
featuring Corry Harris on guitar & Sugar Ray Norcia on Harmonica & Son Seals
has a very fabulous release LETTING GO. Son has always been a favourite of
mine and this new one kicks supreme butt. Telarc releases are also in
digital surround sound.
