Steve Jacobs is his name and can be heard on the Carey Bell and Tough Lucck
CD on Blind Pig. An excellent player and a good guy too. I'm pretty
familiar with those cats as the bass player and drummer, T.A. James and Tom
Parker respectively used to (and still fill in from time to time when not on
the road) with an excellent Upstate NY blues band (shameless self promotion
time) Bernie Clarke and the Rhythm Sharks. Go hear 'em if you get the chance
(or go see Carey for that matter too.)

My band opened for Carey a couple of years ago and I beleive this
guy was the guitarist. He can definitely play!
One of their amps was blown up and Carey borrowed my Bassman. He
definitely gave it a workout that night! He invited me to jam with him on
harp. Beware harp players, Carey will definitely find a way to cut your head!
A very satisfying blues evening.
