FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHUCK WINANS, PORTRAITS IN PERFORMANCE PHOTOGRAPHY GEAR UP WITH NEW PORTABLE PORTRAIT STUDIO ABILITY; NOW AVAILABLE FOR POSED PUBLICITY PHOTO SHOOTS, ALBUM COVER PORTRAITS, MAGAZINE COVERS, FEATURE PHOTOGRAPHY, ACTOR HEAD SHOTS AND MODEL PORTFOLIO SHOOTS
Chicago-based Portraits In Performance Photography announces today its new traveling digital photography portrait capabilities.
Designed to travel anywhere and shoot anything in almost any situation, Portraits In Performance Photography, headed by photographer Chuck Winans enters a new stage of its development with its ability to shoot on location or in-studio with artificial and portable lighting gear and remote flash equipment.
"This is a very positive step forward for the company approaching our 10th anniversary", says Winans. "It allows us to build upon accomplishments of the past decade and gives Portraits In Performance the ability to grow in an almost unlimited way".
Investment in equipment and time has been considerable in preparation for this step of growth, but Winans remains dedicated to keeping his shooting fees for studio and location shoots reasonably priced as well as high-quality -- within the financial reach of any working musician, actor, band or performance artist.
"We have been working on several very basic portrait packages that can be done indoors or outdoors, with or without artifical light, all shot with digital camera gear", states Winans. "We don't need to break anyone's bank account in order for the end result to be high in quality or memorability".
While specializing in photography geared toward the working performer and actor, Portraits In Performance will also cater to men and women as well as children of all ages in the modeling industry. Photography shoots for composite cards and modeling portfolios updates are easily arranged.
Since the beginning of 2005, Portraits In Performance has worked on several in-studio and location shoots, including a recent cover for Los Angeles-based Southland Blues Magazine with the legendary Grammy Award nominee Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater, new posed photography for journeyman guitarist Tinsley Ellis in conjunction with his return to recording for Alligator Records and publicity photos for the Indiana-based band Vital Support, which for several years served as bluesman Carl Weathersby's backing group.
Photography work by Portraits In Performance has been featured in Rolling Stone, Blues Revue, Blues Access and several publications not directly related to music, including Odyssey Magazine, Northwest Airlines Magazine and several travel publications. Chuck Winans work has appeared on music releases on the Alligator, MC, JSP and Earwig record labels as well as several independent releases.
Chuck Winans is the recipient of the Blues Foundation's prestigious 2003 KBA Award for Art and Photography. He has photographed music festivals nationally, including the Chicago Blues Festival, the Indiana Jazz Festival, the Pocono Blues Festival, the Waterfront Blues Festival, the Long Beach Blues Festival and the Taste Of Blue Ridge Jazz & Blues Festival. Permanent collections of Winans performance photography work are featured in two reknowned Chicago-area music clubs, B.L.U.E.S. On Halsted in Chicago and Chord On Blues in St. Charles, Illinois.
Portraits In Performance Photography is based just south of downtown Chicago, close to the old Maxwell Street Market district and the historic Jane Addams Hull House.
