I was listening to a Saturday morning blues show on the radio - and heard a song called "Ain't Got Enough Money" - or something similar. The artist's first name was ( I think ) Forrest. His voice was very deep and gravelly - reminded me of Howlin' Wolf.

Can anyone help out with accurate information about the artist's name and/or the song title? And any opinions of this guy or some of his other work?

Thanks -
Kathy

That was my thought. But I don't know. I have an old LP from Chess, side A
with Forrest City Joe, but this title, "Ain't Got Enough Money" ain't on it.
These sides were recorded in '48. The B side of this LP is interesting in
that it is by Rocky Fuller, also known as Louisiana Red, aka, Iverson
Minter, and was recorded for Chess in '52. The title of this LP is "Memory
of Sonny Boy". Another cool thing about this LP is the front cover photo by
James La Rocca, Little Howlin' Wolf, harmonica; Joe Willie Wilkins, guitar;
and Forrest City Joe, harmonica. Little Howlin' Wolf looks suspiciously
like Johnny Shines. Pretty cool. I'll have to put this on.

Thanks everyone for all the help! That's one of the best things about this group! Received the e-mail below - this is the artist and song I heard - I'll enjoy listening to the rest of the CD.

Best -

Hi Kathy,

This is Forrest McDonald writing you from Atlanta, GA.

Not Enough Money is from our Finger Licking Blues CD. That is Raymond
Victor's Voice he is one of the greatest blues singes on the planet, In my
opinion of course. We have been performing together for 33 years. Ray is
bases in CA where we met in 1973 and I live in Atlanta since I am from
Austin,TX I had to retreat to the south. We just jump on a plane when it's
time to play somewhere. You can get all of our CD's from me if yu like.

Where are you located?

I am so glad people are hearing about us.

Have a great day!

All the best,

Forrest
