Looking over tour schedules on the web, I see that Sugar Pie DiSanto has been
added to the lineup for the Chicago Blues Festival on Sunday, June 10.

Here's what's on the line up. Looks like there's really only two things
I"d head down there for - Ike Turner and Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham.
Too bad Billy Gayles isn't still alive, he'd be great to see with Ike
Turner. Everyone else I"ve seen a million times or they don't interest
me at all.

Interesting. What's with all the "seminars"? It looks more like a business
convention and less like a blues festival.

Every year the pickings get a little thinner, but I still go, and still
enjoy myself every time. I'm sure it'll be the same this year.

I'm receiving duplicate messages of everything from Blues-L. How can I cut
it in half?
I've got Microsoft Outlook.

Hey Twist, I'm with you on that. Although I have heard that seeing Ike and Pinetop together is still worth all the wealth in the world. I for one would be real interested to hear what your impressions are.

Hey Scott,

Each year the ranks of true bluesmen and women get a little thinner. We've lost
enough people in the past five years to put on a great festival! :-(
