This is incorrect; Johnny Ace [John Alexander] himself was born in
1929, and played piano, not guitar. Buddy Ace's connection with Johnny Ace
was that after Ace's death in 1954, Duke Records owner Don D. Robey got
Johnny's brother St Clair to continue from where Johnny left as Buddy Ace,
but he soon got tired and the name of Buddy Ace was adopted by Johnny (Jimmy?)
Lee Land.

You were not the first to point out that much of that info
was incorrect. Fortunately, I can blame it all on the AP
story that I pulled it from ;-) I'm not familiar with
either Johnny or Buddy Ace.
I don't know how they managed to get the info
so screwed up, though, because it appeared as if they spoke
with his agent and, possibly, someone from the family.
