I think that you should download from Simtel /msdos/handicap the
file flip306d.zip (or whatever is the current version) and try to
contact the author of the program. The program is for DOS not
Windows.

Dimitris Zois

Note from Bill McGarry: A newer version of flipper is available
from disability.olivetti.com in the /pub/speech directory as
flip422.zip

From: jd...@cloud9.net (Jeffrey Dunn)

Hello:

My name is Jeffrey Dunn, and I am the volunteer internet services
coordenator for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a non-profit provider of
professionally trained guide dogs for the blind, deaf blind, and blind
with special needs community throughout the U.S..

I have developed many resources through the internet to facilitate
student / school communications, and communications with the public at large.

Our growing web site at: http://www.cloud9.net/~jdunn/gebhome.html
provide extensive information about GEB and its guide dogs.

Could you possibly add us to your links or hot list? As our site grows
it will feature multimedia tours and presentations on GEB and its services.

I believe that our site can offer a wealth of knowledge to both the
greater blind community in your area, as well as the general public.

I look forward to corresponding with you further on this matter.

Kind regards

Jeffrey Dunn

I am writing software to help C.P. children use computers in Chinese.
Unfortnately, the DOS Chinese software works in graphic mode while
pretending to be in text mode. This means that all of the screen
enlargers I have tested don't magnify correctly. Can anyone help?

I have a Braille compass made by Silva. Any store which carries that
brand/manufacturer ought to be able to order one.

You might check R.E.I. if they have a store near you. It was at one time
also available from the Boy Scouts of America under their catalog number
1073.
