I'd recommend you see a developmental pediatrician or neurologist to
clarify the diagnosis. I'd recommend Dr. Andrea Starret at the Ochsner
clinic near you (assuming lsu.edu is Louisiana State). Tel. 504-842-3900.

Exactly what is the unofficial, initial diagnosis? Since you've posted your
question here I presume it was PDD, and probably specifically autism.

I am not a professional, but I'm as knowledgable as a parent of an autistic 27
month old can be on autism.

I do not mean to be critical, but unless you've left some important information
out of your posting, I can only conclude that Nanda is a perfectly well
developed 29 month old, who will continue to develop normally without
intervention.

His speech pathologist claims he does not show any significant delays. His
daycare's teacher's remarks are worth noting, but need to be balanced with the
fact that his IS intelligently communicating, and that continues to improve.

Nanda's play behaviour, socialization, self-help, adaptive skills, behaviour,
and cognative skills seem appropriate for his age. His inability to say hello
to a store clerk, and his hitting or pushing people to get attention is not
unusual at that age.

So what is it that is so disturbing to you that you felt it necessary to take
Nanda to a Speech Therapist and an Occupational Therapist in the first place?
What is he currently receiving therapy for? I'm not being judgmental, I just
simply don't understand.
