You don't need AR mode or BAKR to go from 24 to 31. Is there something
specific you're trying to do?
Most assembler code will run as-is in AMODE(31), but there are some I/O
macros that need special treatment, and some assembler service macros that
must be replaced. Take a look at the Assembler Services Guide. Chapter 5
discusses 31-bit addressing and migration issues. 31-bit addressing is also
discussed in DFSMS Macro Instructions for Data Sets.

Subject: Anyone have good general purpose AR addressing Start & stop Macros

Wow, finally getting to upgrade those old assembler modules to 31 ANY. And
wow, has assembler changed in the last few years, and wow, am I rusty. So,
does anyone have some nice general purpose START and STOP macros for AR
Addressing, BAKR and all that? Or maybe you can point me at a website
where I can find such? Thanks
