Was there ever a DOS JCL reference like the Brown book?

(And if the answer is "Yes, the Brown book", I'll plead that I only worked in
MFT, MVT and SVS/MVS shops, before 1984.)

When I was a young lad, the Brown book with its green cover ("System/360 JCL"
by Gary Deward Brown) was the standard reference book for new programmers. I
saw it go through the 2nd edition ("System/370 JCL"), but stopped working on
IBM mainframes in 1984 (with a brief flirtation with VM/370 a few years later).

Did the early edition(s) cover DOS/360 as well as OS/360 JCL? If not, was
there ever an equivalent for the beginning DOS programmer? Or am I stuck with
the very brief coverage in Germain's chapters on TOS and DOS?

I'm also asking this question on the Hercules DOS/VS forum at Yahoo!, so I
apologize if you see this more than once.
