(*Please excuse the cross-postings*.)
From November 20-22 1998, the National Educational Association Of Disabled
Students (NEADS) will be holding its national conference in Ottawa called
"Commitment To Excellence: Building Leaders For The Future". The
Conference will be bringing together: students with disabilities from across
Canada, service providers, well respected guest speakers and
all others interested in ensuring access
to post-secondary education in Canada.
This year's conference, unlike in previous years, features a single-track
format, which means that all delegates will participate in all the
workshops: developing a national approach to disability services on our
campuses; accessing funding to support post-secondary study; student
leadership; and making the transition from school to work.
The conference will be held at the Delta Hotel And Suites in Ottawa where
rooms are being made available. However, sensative to the budgets of
students and others, this year we have also made arrangements with two
nearby hotels whose rates offer other price alternatives.
The current NEADS Newsletter contains all the necessary details. For
those of you who don't receive the Newsletter, two conference-related
articles will be e-mailed to you. Simply e-mail Jennison Asuncion at
