Central Plains Chapter Spring Meeting

The Central Plains Chapter is pleased to announce our Spring
meeting, and to invite all interested ARLIS members and
friends to attend.
It will be held at the University of Kansas in Lawrence
June 10-12, 1999.
Registration will be $10.00 for chapter members, $15.00 for

FRIDAY, JUNE 11
Chapter Business Meeting
Program: Backyard Visionaries: Grassroots Art in the Midwest ,
given by Barbara Brackman and Cathy Dwigans. These are the
authors of a recently published book by this title, and
promise a lively slide lecture with citations to publications
libraries might want to collect on this subject.
Lunch at Kansas Union
Program: Licensing Issues for Electronic Resources ,
given by Marilu Goodyear, Assoc. Vice-Chancellor for
Info. Svcs. and Assoc. Dean of Libraries, KU. Legal
implications, procedure development and other key
issues on this topic will be discussed.
Preview tour of Quilt National 99 and Quilts from
the Spencer Museum
and/or
Opportunity to use various electronic resources in the
Art & Architecture Library
Dinner at a downtown restaurant.
SATURDAY, JUNE 12
Several options, including the Farmer s Market,
Ceramic Studio Sale, Fountain Walk, and Skunk Days
