Hi all-

I am interested in Ariel, and in particular any information about
scanners. I have asked a few questions on the ILL-L listserv, and
have a few more specific questions for you all. Sorry for the
duplication.

1. What kind of scanner are you currently using?

2. What are its good/bad features?

3. If you could get a new scanner, would you, and what kind?

4. What features do you consider to be THE MOST IMPORTANT for use
with ARIEL, I.E. speed, document feed capability, other???

Thanks very much for the help. I am not currently subscribed to the
list, and I apologize because I know this is a recurring topic, but I
need the most current info possible, so if you would, please respond
to me directly.

I am using a Hewlett Packard ScanJet 3c

good - it works

I am happy with this - it does what I need. It also does color and I
have never used color (I don't have a color printer) so we probably
could have saved some money.

Just make sure it is on ARIEL's list of compatible scanners.
Document feed capability sounds good, but it might be more trouble
than it is worth.
