Serbian forces are registering albanian civil population
Rahovec, May 6th (Kosovapress)
The situation of the civil population in the villages of Anadrinit, is
very grave.Serbian forces have started to registration to population.
The inhabitants are obliged to show every two hours in the serbian
commandos. The 250 prisoners in the village Drenoc, now are released but
they have to show before serbian military commands every two hours. The
population is registered in the villages Ratkoc, Potoçan, Zoqishtë and
this number has to be constant otherwise they will execute people.
In the other side, small convoys with civil people are passing everyday
in the road Gjakovë-Prizren, in the direction of Albania.
The enemy is concentrated in Hoqë të Madhe, në Zoqishtë, Krushë të
Madhe, Has and in the villages around, then Potoqan të Poshtëm, Senoc
and in Pastasel.
Interview with Dr. Fadil Bekën, Chief of the Health Sector in KLA

In an improvised hospital, we met the Dr. Fadil Beka, specialized doctor
and Chief of Health Sector in KLA and we asked him for a interview:
Kosovapress: What`s the health situation of civil population in these
war conditions caused by serbian terror?
Dr. Beka: The health conditions of the civil population as result of the
hard and difficult conditions, is very catastrophic.
Kosovapress: What are the most frequent diseases that displaced
population is facing?
Dr. Beka: Because the hygienic water is missing, caloric food too, the
most spread diseases are:dysentery,vomits, disease of the digestive
apparat, infectious diseases, hepatitis,pleurisy, tuberculosis etc.
Children are those who are in big risk because of dehydration, lost of
liquids, lack of vitamins. Even the chronic sick people,pregnant women
etc.
Kosovapress: What are the direct consequences of this war?
Dr. Beka: All the things that I mentioned above, are consequences of
this war but there many wounded people as result of serbian bombardments
and I`ve to mention serbian massacres,too.
Kosovapress: Is the hunger present evident?
Dr. Beka: The lack of food is best represented in the health conditions
of the displaced persons.There absences in the children food, caloric
food but there is absence of food in general,too. There cases, that
people died because of starvation. People are hungry and as result, they
are unable to move, they are nervous, they`ve headache. I think that the
time is to announce humanitarian catastrophe, from which our people is
incurring.
Kosovapress: What are the conditions in which the wounded people are
treated?
Dr. Beka: The furnishing with medicines is being blocked
completely.There are not enough doctors,especially specialists and other
medical personnel. There are no medical equipments,too.
Kosovapress: What`s your message addressed to the doctor who are not
among their people yet?
Dr. Beka: My appeal to them is: return in your homeland soon as
possible, here among your population which is suffering so much. Return
now or never, the population needs badly you.
Kosovapress: What`s the number of the doctors who are engaged to help
the people today?
Dr. Beka: Unfortunately, there are no enough doctors and the needs for
them are very large, the situation is alarming.
Kosovapress: What you want to say about this doctor who are engaged
there?
Dr. Beka: In the name of the KLA Health Sector, I express my best
gratitude towards them not only for their engagement but also for their
human sacrifices.
Kosovapress: What about international humanitarian organizations.Can
they help in these war conditions?
Dr. Beka: They`re blocked by serbian forces who are not allowing any
kind of aid to go towards civil population. In spite of this,
international humanitarian organizations have to find the ways in order
to help civil population in this catastrophic situation.
I will appeal to the UNHCR of UN, IRCC, Relief doctors, the doctors from
all over the world to raise their voice and to help albanian people as
soon as possible because there no more time to losse.

Junik, May 6th (Kosovapress)
The confrontation went on during all night along the line where units of
the 3rd KLA operative group are operating. During the latest
confrontations, serbian forces were forced to retreat from their
military position.
Serbian forces incurred big losses in human and in military technique ,
during these confrontations. Their military base has been confiscated
and different kind of military equipments have been taken by our
units.It is worthy mentioning the heroic case of Jonuz Zejnullahut, from
Vitia who reached to penetrate in the enemy bunker, threw the bombs and
destroyed the bunker completely.
17 serbian military members have been killed and many others are wounded
during last night and todays confrontations whereas from KLA side, a
martyr has fallen and seven other fighters are wounded.
A military enemy truck with Yugoslav officers has been destroyed, too.
