AIX INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST 12 MONTH RENEWABLE CONTRACT TORONTO ON

Hourly Rate: Negotiable
Location: Toronto, ON (North York).
Skills Required:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 3 year diploma in
Computer Science.
- MCSA and/or MCSE (2000/2003) certifications will be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of current IT industry experience working within very
large computerized environments.
- Excellent English language communications skills (both written and verbal)
are required for this role.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- In-depth knowledge of (the interaction of) system architecture components.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of backup and recovery, system integration, database
servers and systems management functions.
- Process knowledge and experience with implementing systems changes,
maintenance routines and application improvements.
- Minimum of 2 years of in depth, hands on knowledge of AIX.
- Minimum of 1 years of in depth, hands on knowledge of Microsoft Server
2000 / 2003 and Active Directory.
- Bright, outgoing and charismatic person who knows how to lead by example.
- Good leadership skills and experience.
Duties:
- Build upon such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and
internal service as required
- Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information
systems operations.
- Implement machine modifications to increase system capacity.
- Evaluate vendor proposals for purchases of hardware.
- Direct compilation of records and reports concerning production, machine
malfunction and maintenance.
- Advise on organizational, procedural, and workflow plans, methods and
procedures analysis within the department.
- Analyze the results of monitoring operating systems and recommend changes
to improve processing and utilization.
