Research Analyst Position

Oakton Community College has created a research analyst

be an individual with strong computer application and
statistical skills, who is interested in doing research about
subjects such as student achievements, assessment of learning

research projects that could be suitable for doctoral
dissertations, publication in professional journals, and
presentations at professional conferences.

The position will pay approximately $20,000/year (25-hours
per week), with paid vacations and holidays, State
Universities Retirement System benefits, and tuition waiver
benefits for the analyst and his or her spouse and children.

The successful candidate must have a master's degree in a
discipline in the behavioral sciences, higher education,
mathematics or marketing; two years of experience in
behavioral science research, including data analysis; one
year of experience using statistical software, preferably
SAS; and a demonstrated ability to use standard office
computer software packages. In addition, it is highly
desirable for the individual to have experience working with
large institutional databases and with data warehouses.

Oakton Community College serves the northern suburbs of Cook

courses, and another 10-12,000 in non-credit, customized
