Dear All,
I write this email in context of the recent spam being sent to the BIT Mesra Alumni Group at Google.
I see the efforts put in by the admin to stop such cases, but the group itself is in a nascent stage.
I understand that each and every email id has not been verified before being allowed as a member, neither it was possible to do so.
Such spams are not new and email users have been struggling with this since the email system has evolved. We need to fight with such spammers.
I would request all the members to support the admin in doing so. Asking to be removed from the group, is like running away from the problem, you are making the situation difficult to be handled. That is not the SPIRIT OF BIT MESRA. Please follow the steps suggested by Amit. I expect that with this email of mine the confidence of the members will be reinstated in the admin.
A request all for volunteering or nominating people for managers of the group.admin needs support from all of us.
