Meeting Today 2010/02/04

All,
If you didn't know yet, I was the Lego Robotics coach for my kid's
elementary school this year. We we're just in Grand Forks for
competition this last Saturday. They did great, 2nd Place for
innovative solutions.

Anyway, I know it's not very open source, but I brought the kid's robot
along and was going to show it off today. Also, I brought my photo and
video camera's and thought I'd show a little bit about RAW photos and
Video importing and editing using kino.

I'd also like to talk about the Bismarck hamfest for this year. It's
always a great event for us. I think we had three people last year:
Dave, Corey, and myself. I think we we're all still busy answering
people's questions. So, for this year I'm probably going to try and get
two tables. And, I'm hoping I can get 1 or 2 more people to come by.

With the time left for tonight, we can have some general Q&A.

Unless there is an issue with it, I might bring my two oldest kids to
see the mindstorm stuff. One has worked with it at school a bit and both
are interested with it.

Sorry Eric, I mentioned to Anthony that you were talking about bringing
some Mondstorm stuff. Can you still do that?

That should be fine. I'll see if I can bring my kids too to show it off.

No problem (^_^). Yeap, but the video editing thing might not work. I
didn't realize there was such an issue with DV thru USB. I normally do
Firewire at home (when I actually work on it), but I don't have a
firewire on either of my two laptops. SO this might be out of the question.
