Modding a HTC Desire 530

I'm trying to update an HTC Desire 530 to have some version of android that isn't branded as Verizon.  With Cyanogemod going away, I'm not really sure how to proceed.  Can someone help?  I haven't flashed an Android device in a while.  Also, I'd prefer to do the modding/flashing in Linux.

I usually go to xda-developers.com and search for a particular model.  I looked for the HTC Desire 530 and found essentially nothing for roms.  Usually, when you find a rom on there, the post will also have instructions as to how to install it.

The replacement of cyangoenmod is lineageos... or did you mean that that is going away? 

Sorry, don't know if that helps.  I've hacked a fair number of phones, but some don't have a decent number of roms.
