can someone tell me how to do a hard reset on my roku? i have an old one for an old tv and all of a sudden netdlix is saying "too many people on my account"- but i am the only one! netflex said to call roku and ask for a hard reset but of course there is no one to call.
Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more. Does this clear up the issue you are seeing? Please keep us posted what you find out.
How many channels do you have on your Roku device? We would recommend removing unused channels from your Roku device, then restarting your Roku device. Once your device has restarted, try adding the Netflix channel again.
Can you please provide more specific information about the issue you are experiencing? What Roku model device are you having this issue with? Have you removed unused channels on your Roku device? After removing those channels, have you tried restarting the Roku device before trying to add the Netflix channel? If you are still seeing the issue persist, are you seeing an error message on screen?
We just got a new TCL Roku TV (50S535) and had this same problem with Netflix not installing saying there wasn't enough memory. I ended up doing a factory reset of the TV via the advance settings menu option, and then during the new subsequent initial setup I selected the streaming services we subscribe to (YouTubeTV, HBO Max, Netflix, and Amazon Prime), but I opted not to select any preferred content types so it wouldn't try to pre-install any of those related channels. After the setup process finished the Netflix app was on the home screen and it works just fine now. Hopefully this will work for others here having this same problem.
If the issue persists from one channel after attempting the suggested by RokuLianna, videos from other channels play fine, contact the channel provider's customer support team to report the issue and get help.
Having same problem with Netflix on two new 4K sticks and three year old Ultra Netflix error tvq-st-106.. No problem on laptop or Android tv. Have tried EVERYTHING suggested in the past 10 pages of posts except switching to Firestick. Evrything has been updated, restarted, uninstalled, installed, refreshed multiple times. This is not my first rodeo.
Half hour on the phone with Netflix (they told me I didn't know how to enter my password - really, there are upper and lower case letters? Didn't know that, sheesh!- and then that it was an ISP problem. Sure after three years there's a sudden ISP problem.
For some reason Netflix platform and Roku devices in my house won't talk anymore. Both parties have some responsibility here; so fix it. If I have to replace three Rokus with Firestick, I won't be coming back.
Have you tried removing the affected channel Netflix and then re-install again? If not, we suggest starting there. In some cases, removing the affected channel and then re-installing it may help. Restart your device before re-adding the channel back in to ensure the process is successful. We recommend doing this through the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If there is no Power submenu, proceed to the next step.) > System restart.
To ensure the process of removing and re-adding the Netflix channel is successful, make sure to restart your device before adding the channel back in. from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > System restart > Restart. However, if it still has no dice and the issue is only with the channel alone, this is a good indication that there is likely an issue within that specific channel that will need to be addressed with an update from the channel publisher. Channels on Roku are created and maintained by each channel publisher. In this case, you'll want to reach out to Netflix support directly to share your feedback.
Warm Regards,
Lianna
The only problem is that the netflix app is just loading the netflix letters. It wont even let me see the login page. After 2 minutes it says error 500.-172. I alreddy contacted the netflix support witch told me that the problem is the play safe certificate. Any other app is working just fine, please help!!!
I'm getting with Netflix and Amazon prime then I start a stream I get this message. We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try later or select a different title. The only way to get streaming video from Netflix and from Amazon prime is to restart Chromecast. Tired of doing this multiple times a day.
Are you starting youtube TV before the problem starts? If you are yttv leaves 'media playback services running' in error causing your problem. Work around is to force stop yttv. Not great but hopeful yttv will fix the app.
Spoke to a Google customer care as MTrim did in his last post with no luck for me. I have two Chromecast with Google TV units and both have the same issues I was not able to replace the units as MTrim did. My only work around is still force close YouTube TV so I can view others streaming services. YTTV is hanging in the background and is restricting any other services from streaming. Waiting for some update to correct this, I hope....
Thanks for the update. Have you tried factory resetting your Chromecast? If you haven't yet, please try that and observe the behavior of your device. Also, I'd suggest you reach out with YouTube for additional help.
I have contacted youtube tv support and after giving me a long list of troubleshooting steps like Power cycle the device affected, uninstalling youtube TV and reinstalling and signing back in, Restart router..... etc. Nothing corrected the issue. This is the last message I received from Youtube TV support,
Your case has been reviewed and resolved. It's been determined that the issue you're having is not a fault in the app's performance. It is working as intended. The YouTube TV app is not designed to continue streaming while another app is streaming on the same device. Therefore, as you stated when you start the YouTube TV app it's fine, however if you open another streaming app, such as Netflix, the stream does not work. The same will happen in the reverse.
Just checking in to make sure that you've seen our response. Please let us know if you have other questions or concerns as we will be locking this in 24 hours if we won't hear back from you again. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.
After logging in and seeing all of my profiles and movies I tried to play one of them and was asked to install widevine cdm module which is 2Gb and after downloading I saw that is will be extracted and eventually saw success message.
The latest widevine needs a newer version of inputstream.adaptive (2.2.27), we fixed this last night inputstream.adaptive: update to 2.2.27 LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv@47767b9 GitHub) but it could take a bit until the addon is rebuilt for all architectures and available from the LibreELEC addon repository.
since a few days, Maxdome and SkyGo addons both stopped playing content on my Pi 3B+, so I tried to install your new version of the inputstream adaptive addon. But I only get the following error message:
ERROR: CAddonInstallJob[inputstream.adaptive]: The dependency on kodi.binary.global.filesystem version 1.0.2 could not be satisfied.
Sorry for the noob question. how ever I am at my wits end over this netflix addon.
I am on a pi 3b, add the repo, try to install the addon but no go
dependency issue with crypo "something"....
Any and all help would be much appreciated
I installed LE LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.95.002.img on mini pc and want to install netflix addon, is this addon suitable for GitHub - asciidisco/plugin.video.netflix: Inputstream based Netflix plugin for Kodi ?
I'm very thankful for the addon, and it mostly works pretty great. This isn't such a big deal, but it can become annoying having to change language and subtitles each time you start a new show, specially if you're binge watching.
Still in this configuration page, you can set the switch to be automatic whenever you enter a given site, in the Permanent Spoof List option in the left. Click it, fill the domain field with www.netflix.com and choose the name you gave to the new user agent - in my case, Netflix - in the dop-down menu.
With the pipelight plugin, a wrapper that allow Firefox to use Silverlight, in a HP laptop with a core i3 and intel HD video connected via HDMI to 1080p HD TV, full screen playback is choppy and the CPU stay at 100% usage.
Excellent writeup brunomcl - thanks for your work and documenting this.
As an update Netflix now allow Chrome + Linux, so the user-agent switch is no longer required. Chrome 39 on OpenSUSE 13.2 seems to work well.
Cheers, Joe.
Hi guys. The Microsoft Edge is my favorite browser of all times, really, but not when I try to watch netflix or other video streaming services, it always breaks, I have no ideia what to do anymore. Always when I try to play something there's an error and then I need to reload over and over again, sometimes even when I just play the video it stop working when I try to play again. Help me to keep using this best browser that I've ever seen.
I've ever tried to disable hardware acceleration, enable DRM content, install Microsoft Silverlight and a lot of other things, but I didn't get to watch so far without an error I keep receiving these error codes: D7356-7701 and others related. Is there's still something that can be done to really fix theses erros or I just have to be patient and wait for news versions of the browser?
