Registration is now open for the Conference November 17-18, 2008!
"Moving Forward: Delivering Freestanding Birth Centers in Illinois"
Held in conjunction with the American Association of Birth Centers
this 2-day conference is based on the AABC workshop “How to Start a
BirthCenter. It will address the many issues that one needs to
consider when exploring the development of a birth center, including
issues specific to Illinois.
CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
• The Business of Birth Centers (Financial Management, Staffing)
• Birth Center Operations (Services, Programs, Collaborative Practice)
• Birth Center Start Up (Feasibility, Organizational Structure,
Facility)
• Illinois Specific Regulations & Reimbursement
• Next Steps/Resources
The workshop has been approved for continuing education by the
American College of Nurse-Midwives and by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This program may
qualify for continuing education credit in the American College of
Medical Practice
Executives (ACMPE). Application for CME approval has been submitted to
the American Academy of Family Physicians.
