Birth Centers: Time to Write the Gov!

SB264 The Safe Childbirth Act-Freestanding Birth Centers has been sent
to the Governor. He can now sign it, amendatorily veto it, or veto it
anytime between now and approximately 9/25/07.
It is important that each of you write ONE MORE LETTER of support,
this time to Governor Blagojevich asking him to PLEASE SIGN the bill,
citing it's importance to the childbearing women of Illinois.
You can do this EASILY by linking to his website at
http://www.illinois.gov/gov/contactthegovernor.cfm
(copy and paste in your web browser if "clicking" does not work).

Once the bill is signed, Rules must be written. This takes time, but
we remain hopeful that our continued progess means we will have birth
centers in Illinois!
