YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY!
October 4, 2010 is the end of the minimum 45-day Public Comment Period
for Birth Center Demonstration Programs. It's not too late (even after
today) to express your impressions on the Proposed Rules.

PLEASE SHARE YOUR FEEDBACK ON ILLINOIS’ BIRTH CENTER RULES.
If you have already responded to the Proposed Rules, THANK YOU!
Now I have one more request... please take a few minutes to ask your
family and friends to submit a response as well. We especially need
MDs, attorneys and architects to review and respond.

As a supporter of Birth Centers we know you share our commitment to
making Freestanding Birth Centers a reality in Illinois…that’s why we
need your help now to make a change in the Rules as published.

See the uploaded *File* on this Group that is a Sample Letter for you
to review, rearrange and modify, then submit to Ms. Meister at the e-
mail address in the welcome message.

For those seeking more information:
-I have added *Page* with a link to an article published in a legal
newsletter by law group McDermott, Will, and Emory. It is a helpful
summary of the proposed Rules.
-See the *Post* by Kitty Ernst, CNM, CABC Consultant, which will
describe the AABC position on the Proposed Rules.

Please ACT TODAY!
Thank you on behalf of the childbearing women of Illinois.
