I don't think so, if the board is different it directs your attention (even if it is only sub-conscious) away a little bit. This means calculation could be slower or you could miss simple tactics until you get used to it. Try to find similar board themes on both sites so there isn't as much of a difference. Completely normal.
hello Olivia ! ... well i doesn't think the board themes will affect greatly your performance . in fact i think the most important thing is : to choose a board theme than you are confident with. doesn't really matter if it is : Blue/white ... or pink/white squares. you can do how you like ! otherwise i will advice you not to choose colors that can tiredness your eyes sight or even worst : blur the diagonals. also : always remember the most important thing is to enjoy your gameplay ! Good night Olivia or have a good day with the time zone. your friend : aqua.
I have kept the normal board theme because whenever I switch i cant see pieces as well or feel unfamiliar with the board and perform worse maybe one day ill permanently switch to a different theme but hey I think the normal one looks fine
It definitely does
I literally can't play Chess irl or on a 3D board because I'm just so use to the typical 2D online board, and a 3D board just looks so different to the point where my board vision is completely messed up and I can't see or calculate things properly or as easily, etc.
It doesn't just happen to you. It depends on the strategy you have in mind. my strategy is to interrupt my opponent's movement regardless of the color of the board. I don't think about winning, but I try to put myself in my opponent's place and truncate his game by knocking down his most important pieces one by one.
I have dealt with visualization issues from certain color matches between board and pieces. I prefer chess com over all the others! Could be biased though since I have been with them since 2014! But I deff have notice diff In my visualization depending on the color n piece match up!

Whenever I assign a specific category in display categories, the Board link disappears. When leaving display categories empty, the link is displayed properly.
The next time you watch a F1 race take a quick look at how the driver is using the steering wheel (beyond simply using it to turn!)You should start to notice a range of dials, buttons and displays that a driver uses to get the most out of the car.
Another feature that drivers utiluse is the team radio. For anyone who followed the 2021 season knows, sometimes what is being said on the radio between drivers and teams or Team Principals and Race Directors (NO MICHAEL THAT WAS SO NOT RIGHT!), can often be just as, if not more, intriguing than the race. Those on the pit wall have access to information from the car and real-time data that is sent to them from their team factories the other side of the world. All of this results in a tsunami of information and can be relayed to the drivers via the radio or indeed the steering wheel.
Each pit board will display a name, flag or colour that makes it easy to identify which one is meant for each driver. Some things that can be on the board are: race position (1st, 7th, 20th etc); distance to the cars ahead and behind and finally; which lap they are in the race.
Thinking about a pit board might just help coaches become a better sharer of information. Can we simplify our messages and allow them to access it entirely on their terms and not ours? Can we let players choose when and how they want to process it? Can we replicate this beyond competition and in their wider and longer term development?
Assessing where a player is on their journey and where they can get to is a constant in coaching. How we choose to share that with them is something that should be at the forefront of our minds and our practice.
The other factor that the pit board allows us to consider as coaches is: have you thought about how best to share information pre-game, in-game and post game? What are the key areas you will look at? How are you working within your team of coaches, physios, substitutes etc? Are you going to watch the game or coach?
It is the trap we so often fall into when seeing a competition unfold from our vantage point: we think we see far more than those competing. That we have the key to unlock this challenge that others cannot seem to figure out. But all of this disregards the perspective of the individuals who are in the midst of it all, feeling and breathing it, with a unique perspective that we simply do not have.
By grappling with such questions we might start to filter out some of the less useful messages for players and athletes. A challenge might be to only able to convey 1,2 or 3 pieces of information to a player, like a pit board. This could be in a training session, warm-up, half-time or full time and could be for an individual or a whole team.

Control themes in your application by setting theme classes (e.g. .light-app-theme) on your body and render everything else inside it. Or use systemTheme prop to make ThemeProvider set the theme class on the body for you.
Thanks Matias,
Now it works at my end. The page you mentioned has some example code for React, with some minor tweaks I was able to make it work and set the themeConfig and systemTheme props of the ThemeProvider.
Let's start with Roadmaps. This is something that all Jira Software Cloud sites can use right now. More details in Enable the roadmap. The thing to note about this feature is that this is specific to Next-Gen projects. At this time this feature is not available to Classic Software, Core, or Service Desk projects.
As for Initiatives, that term is a feature of Jira Portfolio. From looking at your Cloud site it does not appear that your site has this product licensed at this time. Configuring initiatives and other hierarchy levels has some details on how you could configure to use Initiatives/themes in Portfolio if it was active in your site.
As for an ideation board, this is not something that I am familiar with. I don't believe this is a native feature to Jira Software Cloud. But perhaps there is a different name for what you are looking for here. Could you describe what you are looking for in such a board?
In regards to help with the Ideation app, I'm not well versed in what it is and how it works. You might want to reach out to their support team for more help. Their listing in Marketplace has a support tab in =server&tab=support which has a few different resources for getting help with that app.
Your screenshot makes it clear that this is not a next-gen project, you are using a classic project instead. In order to use the roadmaps feature, it is only available in next-gen projects. You can create a new next-gen project to get started using this feature. More details in Working with next-gen software projects.
My first thought is that you could certain just create a project in Jira specifically to capture ideas. Jira natively offers users the ability to both watch and vote on issues. But perhaps this is not exactly what you had in mind.
Both of those are Atlassian branded solutions, that said, I'm sure there exist other potential solutions in Marketplace, but I personally have not had much experience using any of these other Marketplace options.
The use of voting is something that Jira has had for some time now. You can see it in Classic projects and Jira Server projects as noted in Watching and Voting on an Issue. I realize now that the problem you might have with this is in regards to using next-gen projects.
However perhaps you can use the watchers field in next-gen projects to get some of the same data there. For example, you can use the advanced searching Jira Cloud to sort issues based on the number of watchers of each issue.
I do not have a time table for if or when that feature might be possible in next-gen projects. That particular request I posted doesn't really have a lot of public interest in it when compared to other feature requests right now.
While this can help you to see these issues in an order that is reflective of how many users are watching each of these, this is not exactly the same as voting. And you might find that some users simply don't want to get notifications of changes to each issue there and so they won't watch them.
In the process of writing this I also came across this bug JSWCLOUD-17987 : Issues from a Next-Gen project which are part of an Epic do not appear in a classic backlog when included in the filter for a classic board. Which is frustrating to see because it means that this method has the potential to not show you all the issues matched by that JQL filter on that board. Even so, without the board, the results from the issue navigator of that search could still be useful here to understand which issues are most watched by your users.
Sorry that I don't have a better solution for this in next-gen right now. I understand that the desire to use the roadmapping feature pushes you into next-gen feature set, but the use of voting on issues is still currently very restricted to classic projects at the moment.
