I am SCM tech Z5 user in Japan.
I've tried to post using SCM prisma which supplied in fusion360 post library.
but It does not work correctly on my CNC.
I think the "Z" should be possitive number for "morbidelli" machine.
but generic SCM postprocessor gives negative for Z.
Hi, I'm trying to use the post processor.
My machine has the z axis inverted, when I elaborate a milling program with alphacam, I set negative z if the cutter is in the panel. How can I modify the post so that the machinings all have a negative z?
example: panel 1000x1000x18, pocket 5 mm deep, z = -5 mm in the xilog program.

We recently bought a new 5 axis scm morbidelli M200 Author using a pod and rail system and was curious if anyone knows if a machine like this can be run by fusion. We are currently using fusion to run our old 3 axis machine and it works well. Fusion is in many ways still in beta so I do not know if it is high powered enough to run a new 5 axis. I know it has some 5 axis features in the CAM side, but curious if anyone has been running 5 axis fusion in a production setting. The machine has a Xilog controller and is running a non standard version of g code. Any feedback regarding the matter would be great. Thanks for the help.
Thanks for posting! Fusion defiantly has the power to handle 5x toolpaths for this machine, and even output the xxl file needed to run it. If the pods/rails are positioned within the program, this is a bit more difficult, but still possible.

I don't have a good working post processor for the Morbidelli 5 axis. I got it running 3 axis only. The problem with these machines is that when you begin tilting the 5 axis head, the machine is moving very slow. I can help you with maestro 3D if you have any problems with it.
I do have a post processor for the Morbidelli M series (5axis). It has taken a lot of work to get it functioning properly. There is intellectual property that I am not allowed to share without charging for it. It has taken several thousand dollars of programming and testing to get it right. We are looking to buy a Morbidelly 5x12 nested base router with unload and offload.
I would like to hear from a Morbidelli owner in regards to the reliability of the machine and the comparison with other CNC routers like Biesse or Homag

i would be careful in trusting anyone on these boards. You need to make the decision for yourself. Service should be #1 and that can vary on region. i know in the midwest they have a horrible reputation and it is rare to find them anywhere.make a list of what your main things you want from the machine are. If you're buying the machine new, the dealer should be able to refer you to other Morbidelli users in your area, even if they aren't users of this specific machine. That might help you judge the service side of things. i don't know about some posters but i am not a salesman for anyone but Deas Millwork. I can also only tell you about my experience with SCM which has been positive. I know the morbidelli and the routech are made in the same factory and use the same components. I looked at multiple routers at IWF and decided that for the money and the service i have received as well as the support network that i have developed with SCM techs and other owners i cannot beat an SCM machine. That is why we purchased another one. Anyone that is looking to purchase a machine needs to know that there is no manufacturer that is going to "do it for you". You have to be prepared to learn to troubleshoot issues yourself. I for one cannot afford to fly in tech every time my router has Gremlins. Our existing router is nine years old and we have normal issues associated with a nine year old router but SCM has been more than willing to lend support as well as giving me tech bulletins to keep me from having to have onsite support. I did a pretty deep research on all the CNC routers comparables to this one (Biesse, Homag, Felder, Onsrud, etc) including a visit ti IWF and each company sending reps to our shop. At the end the price point they have is substantially lower than the closest one and I really can't find any big red flag on why not to buy a Morbidelli.
