Eachrelease branch of PHP is fully supported for two years from its initialstable release. During this period, bugs and security issues that have beenreported are fixed and are released in regular point releases.

After this two year period of active support, each branch is then supportedfor two additional years for critical security issues only. Releases duringthis period are made on an as-needed basis: there may be multiple pointreleases, or none, depending on the number of reports.

There are alternatives to guardianship. Supported decision-making empowers individuals with disabilities to make informed decisions about their life that protect their rights and ensure their safety and privacy. It involves family and friends working together to help them make complex decisions.

How can you do this without guardianship? We can help. Download the guide and toolkit below. These will help you think about and enact your own support agreement, allowing the supports and safeguards families need without going to court and imposing guardianship restrictions.

The toolkit includes resources to help individuals and their supporters create a plan and fill out the official Supported Decision-Making paperwork. Powers of attorney, representative payees and simple release of information forms are included.

Jordan was just hours away from a court hearing that would have awarded his parents guardianship. In this video Jordan shares his supported decision-making story and how he almost lost his rights. Jordan and Ashley also talk about a new project they are working on for the Center of Youth Voice, Youth Choice to train other self-advocates about alternatives to guardianship

Wisconsin Guardianship Support Center provides legal information and resources to families and professionals regarding guardianship, alternatives to guardianship, powers of attorney, and other related issues.

American Bar Association offers The PRACTICAL Tool, which aims to help lawyers identify and implement decision-making options for persons with disabilities that are less restrictive than guardianship.

The first step in the admission process is to contact your local intellectual and developmental disability authority. Search by county or ZIP code to find your LIDDA. The LIDDA will explain both community and residential services. The LIDDA also will decide whether someone meets criteria for admission or commitment to a state supported living center.

If the person is determined eligible, and the person or his or her legally authorized representative chooses to pursue admission, the LIDDA will submit an application packet to the state supported living center that serves the person's county of residence. If an appropriate vacancy does not exist at the local state supported living center, HHS staff will help find an appropriate vacancy at another state supported living center.

Respite is temporary care to provide help or relief to a person with a developmental disability or his or her family. Respite can be provided for up to 30 days with one 30-day extension. Respite admission is considered voluntary and requires the consent of the proposed resident, if he or she is capable of giving legally adequate consent; the guardian of an adult who can't give consent; or the parent of a minor.

An emergency admission is temporary care for someone who has an urgent need for services. This can last for up to 12 months. An emergency admission is considered voluntary and requires the consent of the proposed resident, if he or she is capable of giving legally adequate consent; the guardian of an adult who can't give consent; or the parent of a minor.

Regular admission is the long-term placement of someone who requires habilitative services, care, training and treatment. Regular admission requires the consent of the proposed resident, if he or she is capable of giving legally adequate consent, or the guardian of an adult who can't give consent. State supported living centers will not permit the regular voluntary admission of a minor.

State supported living centers provide 24-hour residential services, comprehensive behavioral treatment services and health care services, including physician services, nursing services and dental services. Other services include skills training; occupational, physical and speech therapies; vocational programs; and services to maintain connections between residents and their families and natural support systems.

If the individual or legally authorized representative (LAR) has provided complete financial information and disagrees with any fees assessed by HHSC, the individual or LAR is entitled to appeal such fees.

If considering filing an appeal, the individual or LAR must contact the reimbursement office of the facility providing services. HHSC reimbursement staff will determine if HHSC received complete financial information and notify the individual or LAR of the determination. HHSC recommends learning of the determination prior to initiating an appeal.

To initiate an appeal, the individual or LAR must complete and submit the Request for Appeal form (MS Word) to the HHSC Appeals Division per the instructions on the form. If you are unable to access the Request for Appeal form, contact the facility providing services and request to speak with the Reimbursement Office:

There may be a number of additional considerations to take into account when determining if your source operating system will be supported by AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery. Ensure that you check the Additional Considerations section in conjunction with the below lists of supported operating systems.

A shutdown (from the OS menu or Windows CLI) of a Windows source server no longer triggers a rescan in AWS DRS once the source server is restarted. Hard reboots, disk changes, and crashes will still trigger a rescan.

Windows 2003 does not support TLS 1.2, as such, you cannot download the AWS Replication Agent installer directly by using the default browser. The file needs to be copied to the server using another transfer method.

The AWS Replication Agent and agent installer uses a separate installer file (AwsReplicationWindowsLegacyInstaller.exe) for Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows Server versions 2003, Microsoft Windows Server 2008, and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 because these OSs are using older versions of software components that cannot be upgraded due to their end-of-life status.

Kernel versions earlier than 2.6.18-164 are not supported by AWS and AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery. Therefore, servers that run these kernel versions cannot be replicated by AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery.

A reboot of supported Linux servers no longer triggers a rescan in AWS DRS once the source server is restarted. Hard reboots, disk changes, and crashes will still trigger a rescan. Supported OSs include:

AWS requires that servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) must have Cloud Access (BYOL) licenses in order to be recovered to AWS. Note that servers running RHEL Cloud Access Gold Images allow you to access AWS Red Hat Update Infrastructure (RHUI), Red Hat Satellite, or Red Hat Subscription Manager (RHSM). If you are using RHEL Cloud Access Gold Images, you will not be able to access RHUI upon failover to AWS unless you link your AWS account to your Red Hat account via the Red Hat portal, and select the Gold image AMI in the launch template.

You must select an AWS provided RHEL AMI in the Launch Template for servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Pay as You Go (PAYG) images. This will allow access to RHUI after failover. Note that usage of these images will incur EC2 charges for software and infrastructure per AWS Marketplace rates.

For SUSE Linux (SLES) 11 to work, you must install the xen drivers before installing the AWS Replication Agent. You must reboot the server after installing the xen drivers (before installing the AWS Replication Agent). Use the following command to install the drivers:

GVRA operates three types of Supported Employment (SE) programs: Traditional SE, Customized SE, and IPS (Individual Placement & Supports) SE. Supported Employment is competitive integrated employment for individuals with the most significant disabilities for whom such employment has not traditionally occurred, or, as the result of a significant disability, requires intensive support services along with extended follow-up for the life of the job in order to achieve and maintain meaningful employment.

Traditional Supported Employment is used for any individual who qualifies for supported employment services and is in need of intensive job coaching, ongoing supports, and extended supports in a traditional job setting.

IPS Supported Employment is an evidence-based model of supported employment for people with significant mental illness. The IPS approach assumes everyone can work with the right supports, and there are no prerequisites (work adjustment, pre-vocational, evaluations, etc.)

Customized Supported Employment refers to competitive integrated employment for an individual with the most significant disability that is based on an individualized determination of the strengths, needs, and interests of the individual with a significant disability. It is negotiated to meet the specific abilities of the individual and the needs of the employer and is carried out through flexible strategies.
