In addition to the Mardi Gras festivities Cathy mentioned there is a debate tonight at the HUC Alumni Auditorium that appears to be quite interesting. Details below:

Do the costs that religion presents to society outweigh the benefits? Are the saints worth the crusaders? Ed Buckner, the former president of American Atheists, and Joe Scrivner, assistant professor of religion at Samford University, will debate the answer to that question at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 in the HUC Alumni Auditorium.
