Please help get the word out about this remarkable cross-country cyclist/birder coming to Birmingham.  Local pedal and/or wing enthusiasts have two opportunities to meet and hear Donald Kroodsma speak on his coast-to-coast bike tour recording bird song. 

 

A (free!) lunch and learn at Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve will focus on the cycling aspect  of his continental ride.  An evening cocktail/dinner banquet will focus on his birding by ear while pedaling west during an endless spring.  Both events are 1 December and presented by Birmingham Audubon.

Hey Dirtdog, know anybody with a mountain bike for sale?   Something in my size, 27.5" wheels.  I had a 29er, didn't like it much.   Looking for something $300-$500 range.    Can't spend too much or the wife will be on me about it.   :-)

I upgraded my road bike to a carbon frame as they now make them in my size. Nice to be married to a rep😜. So, I am selling my 2016 Giant Avail Rd. bike. It has disc brakes and upgraded wheels. Not a whole lot of miles on it, I'm afraid. It's for a really short female cyclist (I'm 4'11"), measuring at 44 cm. $800. You can see it at Bob's Bikes.
