Awesome Saturday Ride Planned.....
With Cheaha looming on the horizon, tomorrow I’m loosely planning what I will call “The Preparation H Ride”. A small group will roll from Overton Park at around 8:00 am and works its way to the BBC via. Mill Springs, Karl Daily, and Hell’s Belmont. A larger (more foolish) group will join in at the BBC around 10:00am. At that point, we will proceed to Southcrest and work our way west on Red Mountain climbing some Baker’s Dozen Hills. After that, I’m planning on a civilized lunch somewhere. Warning; like any good Saint Bernard, my saddle bag will be filled with traveling goodies. After proper nourishment, I’ll proceed to Kidney Stone River (maybe), Smyer Road, Caldwell Mills, Old Brook Trail and straight home to an ice bath. However, the post lunch segment could be substituted with an Uber ride home from my office downtown. I’m just saying….
In any case, I envision this as a slow paced social ride interrupted by grueling hills.
