For folks with a yearning to make their own robots (autonomous - remote control is not a robot :-) ...

There is a monthly meeting of the "Midlands Robotics and Micromouse Club" hosted
by Dr Tony Wilcox in Birmigham City University at Millenium Point in Birmingham.

If you are trying to remember where the building is, it also houses the ThinkTank 'science museum' and the iMax theatre.

The club aims to meet on the first Monday of the month, but jitters due to
bank-holidays. There is a calendar published at http://www.micromouseonline.com/

The next event has jittered early to Monday 28th May.

Usually we meet to chat, discuss ideas and share advice. There is a practice
maze for Micromouse maze-solvers or wall-followers permanently set up, and we
could set up a line-follower track too. There are electronics labs, so we can do
experiments, and see how things work in practice!

Dr Tony Wilcox hosts the meeting in the basement of Birmingham City University
(BCU). To get in, go to the entrance of BCU on floor 2 (up the long escalator),
sign in with reception, and ask for help; one of us will come to guide you through the maze :-)
