For anyone who remembers Robot-Wars, you may be interested in a version using Ant Weight (150g) machines ...

Saturday (3rd of November) there'll be a locally organised Robot-Wars-style "Antweight World Series" event at Whitley Academy school in Coventry. 

Possibly marking a first for this type of event, it will be streamed live on http://www.ustream.tv/channel/epicentre 
so you can watch from the comfort of your own home, or check it out before making the trip :-)

As you can see, it looks identical to the old TV series, but the RC machines fit on your hand.

It will start around 10:30am, with the main Ant Weight event starting 1pm. The event will finish between 4 and 5pm

I've seen some of these before, and they are beautifully crafted using 3D printing and titanium. It's almost a shame that they smash the living daylights out of each other!
