I know it's an old episode and you all probably know this, but Fizz Pop was mentioned in the Shot Of Jaq which discusses hardware hacking -  http://shotofjaq.org/2010/02/hardware-on-rails/ Nice to get a mention and quite an interesting discussion too.

Andrew.

You can probably tell from the number and length of my responses that
I listened.

I think we should invite them over to a hack session (or point them to
one near them) and get them making things. Just like Jono admitted
they sound like they don't have much experience with hardware, which
isn't a bad thing really.

That's cool, I've never listened to Shot Of Jaq but I'm familiar with
Jono Bacon. I listen to FLOSS Weekly which is hosted by Leo Laporte,
Randal Schwartz and Jono Bacon which is about open source software and
sometimes hardware (which is becoming more popular).

If you caught this week's ep, it featured one of the head blokes behind
Amahi which looks like a really fascinating project (and a great way for
noobs like me to properly dive into OSS media servery type goodness)

Aq's pretty close to FizzPOP (Stourbridge, moving to brum soon) and I
believe, also on this list.

Jonos a bit further away though. I doubt FizzPOP could afford the air
fare ;)

Oh yeah, he's across the pond... *ponders* d'you wanna point him here
http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/List_of_Hacker_Spaces I'm sure what city/
state he's in but America is full of hackerspaces so there must be one
near him.
