As suggested by Nikki recently, should we change the name of this
google group simply to fizzPOP?

The reason to ask is that this would change what e-mail address is
used to post to the group. Essentially, it would require you to e-mail
fiz...@googlegroups.com instead of the current address (birmingham-
hack-...@googlegroups.com)

What does everyone think?

I have to come to the webpage to post anyway.

Was kind of wondering about completely starting afresh now that we
know ourselves a bit better.
*waves at lurkers* *wonders how many people are actually listening*

If you want to tame the unruly series of communication channels then
now seems as good a time as any to start from a clean slate. Sign up
to the discussion group for discussion, mailing list for messages
about events.

What was the upshot of the irc meeting? Is anything getting
streamlined or are you just asking more people to divvy up the work?

Hi,

I'm listening :-) I'm quite happy to change the email address I use. Doesn't seem much of a problem especially as I agree it seems a more descriptive (and nicer) address.

Hope that helps.

Best wishes,

Andrew.

I am happy to change too. I agree with Andrew.
Also it might pop-up on google searches as an easier way in.

I think renaming the list is a good idea. The change makes no
difference to me as GMail (and I assume all modern email clients)
stores email addresses automatically.
