Hello to all who can assist, thank you in advance for your assistance. When using the Map Display of the G1000NXi the Navigraph Login appears over the map screen. (I do use navigraph several times a year. But at this interval my subscription is on hold). Is there a means to remove the login without closing the sim?
There may be situations where you would like to import data from SimBrief not specifically linked to your account, i.e., copying a streamer's or friend's flight plan to your aircraft or using an add-on for shared cockpit scenarios.
In this case you can override the SimBrief User ID by entering it in the SimBrief User ID field. This will override the linked Navigraph account temporarily until it is removed. You will be notified when the override is successful with a pop up message. Example below:
This setting is available when generating a new dispatch. Additionally, we recommend that you save any of your preferred settings here, including Detailed Navlog as the default by clicking on Save Default. This ensures that this setting is never disabled when generating a new OFP.
Do not select an arrival airport on the MSFS world menu or flight planner. Doing this "initializes" the FROM/TO field when loading into your flight, removing the INIT REQ. option from the INIT A page.
The SimBrief import will not load RWY, SID, STAR, or APPR. You will need to manually add these into the flight plan. To learn how to set up the MCDU, you can read the FLIGHT PLAN section in our beginner's guide.
This is because RWY, SID, STAR and APPR are dependent on factors like active runways, traffic, weather, etc. and are determined by ATC and not the pilot's flight plan. They can be changed by ATC any time before takeoff or during flight and are therefore not imported in real life aircraft either.
The current implementation of wind requests in the A32NX is in its early stages, with a full accurate implementation to follow at a later date. This method provides an easy solution to quickly import winds from a valid SimBrief OFP.
Hey there, as the title says, im requesting a option in sim to link the navigraph or simbrief account to get the AIRAC updated and transfer my flight plans direcly to my sim. Im asking for this since im a xbox user and im more a Long haul flights guy and adding every waypoint of the route and airways (because we cant add airways in the fmc) is a little bit tired to add more than 30 waypoints of the route. It could work adding the fpl to a menu section and being able to load it up in the fmc. As mentioned before this will work more for the xbox users since PC users already have this options with 3rd party products and the access to the sim folders. Hope this comes anytime soon!
Hi guys. Recently I successfully linked my Navigraph charts account to the Avitab .0.3.18 in the Zibo mod and used it for a few days. Yesterday when trying to access charts through the Avitab a connection error displayed in the tablet. Thinking I would just reconnect the account, I disabled the link, and am now unable to reestablish a connection. The link opens up a web browser that gives me the "cant reach this page" blank screen. I've done everything I can think of, disabled the firewall and nothing. I've installed nothing new, and to my knowledge, nothing else has changed.
Outside of x-plane running, I am able to get the link to log me in to Navigraph, but because x-plane is closed, it doesn't know what it is updating. If I again start x-pIane after logging in, the connection will not update the linkage just as it acted when I attempted to link with x-plane running. I am at a loss. Anyone know what is wrong here? Anything I can delete to make x-plane or navigraph forget to the point where it connected the other day?? Thanks.
I received several reports about Navigraph problems this week. Since I didn't change anything in AviTab, I assume it's a problem on their side, maybe on their authentication server. If it worked before, I don't think the problem is on your end and you don't need to change anything in X-Plane.
I am a university student, and thus it's quite expected that I'm running low on money, especially money reserved for hobbies and games. I wanted to start flying on VATSIM, so I started looking into how I can get a relatively realistic experience with real-life data.
If your hardware can support MSFS, then I strongly recommend shelling out 10EUR/mo to get the Xbox game pass, which includes the MSFS base game. The price is low, and you may not need to get Navigraph charts because they still update the game's AIRACs. And the default aircraft AFAIK are not that bad. Not to mention the abundance of other games you get along with your subscription.
For people that are about on the same boat as me, here are what you need to pay for: FSX:SE which goes for 4.99EUR on Steam right now, and Navigraph Charts. I'm sure that anyone looking at this right now knows of these costs.
In case you want to go completely free(without Navigraph), you can also use the Honeywell FMC to fly. From what I have been able to see, you can forget using SIDs and STARs, which either means that you use headings from (Possibly old) charts you find online, or you request headings from TWR. Both of which personally classify as an un-authentic experience, given that it is not a regular departure/arrival flow. Not to say that, setting a direct-to for a waypoint literally removes the flight plan. Very, very frustrating.
Also, if someone has other ways they use FSX to fly on VATSIM at a budget, please let me know. This is my current solution which definitely needs work. Anything (airplanes you use, different FMCs, sceneries/airports), would be greatly appreciated.
I understand that, and I'm fine with it. In fact, the people developing it stopped support in 2011 and even took down their forums. I know most things are outdated but there is a surprising amount of people still trying to make botches to the software to get it running. The link I gave to vasFMC has a pretty good guide about getting it up and running, including all installation software needed. Plus, since you quoted the point about HoneywellFMC, I thought I would include the 2 (currently standing) major players in addon FMCs. And I specifically mentioned that because I tried using the HoneywellFMC since it's more Boeing-like, but realized the functionalities are just not there.
By the way, you need FSUIPC and SimConnect to use FSXWX, because it injects the weather into FSX using both of them. And they're free and frequently used for other Aircraft/mods.
And about what you said about getting the Xbox Game Pass and using that to play MSFS, it's actually a good recommendation which I will promptly add to the post above. But, personally, I am also limited by hardware, given that I am using my university PC (Laptop-adapted 1050-level Quadro) and an old off-brand PS3 controller to play the game. So, for people with the specs but without the game, it's actually a great recommendation (for 10EUR a month including an abundance of games that are included), but it just isn't viable for my hardware. It still is a great recommendation though, and thank you for adding that, especially given that the AIRACs are relatively up to date (maybe 3 months old at the longest), which means you don't really need the Navigraph subscription.

I'm actually using the Navigraph subscription of a family member which I play with, so my total cost has come to 3.99EUR, since I only bought the game on sale. It still is a great recommendation though, and thank you for adding that, especially given that the AIRACs are relatively up to date (maybe 3 months old at the longest), which means you don't really need the Navigraph subscription.
