All,
Anybody has idea on this RUMI low cost educational institutions/schools. They seems to be quite a few in Hyderabad, including in my own locality. Can we learn anything out of these? Any feedback on these will help me personally (for my own daughter as well, if good). Thank you.
Regards,
Giri

Praveen: Rumi provides some sort of consulting for curriculum, lesson planning, material procurement and teacher training for low-cost schools, as well as co-branding. Schools that carry their brand are able to charge a slight premium, because they adhere to certain minimum quality of SOP's and education quality for the children. Rumi runs regular certification to ensure that the brand quality is maintained.
They've been fairly successful in their model and are expanding quite rapidly. I've been in touch with them, and one of our alums leads the business development there. Let me know what specific information you'd like, and I can try to get some more information.

Hi All Came across the chain of schools that are being set up in Hyderabad, trying to provide low cost, scalable and innovative schools in Urban areas.

The school design seems to have won international award for innovative urban area school design.

Can someone from Hyderabad find out and tell us more about this? We may be able to learn from their school design and share it with Asha supported schools.
Thanks praveen
