The water crisis in Bengaluru is not the problem, it is a symptom.... It is a statement on the disconnect we as a civilisation have developed with everything around us....
It can only be resolved when we resolve the causative issues... When we restore local self governance, when we restore the ecology, when we get rid of the pervasive ignorance that is caused by the the present education system, ie, when we disrupt the education system and replace it with a learning system that connects us to our neighbourhoods and environment,.... when local wisdom is revived... and most importantly, when we get rid of the shortsightedness and reductionism that haunts the thinking in policy and government departments... And a 'Holism' in approach takes its place! And localisation as a policy, instead of centralisation uproots the centuries old flawed policies begun by the Europeans!
