25 km south of Melghat Tiger Reserve lies Chikaldara at a height of 3000 plus feet. Nothing very much was seen there owing to the excessive heat I suppose. Near Gavilgarh Fort we saw a majestic raptor that rose from the ground and seemed to just vanish into thin air - From the look of it it could have been a Booted Eagle.
A few birds from Chikaldara and the road down to Paratwara - Indian Roller, Shikra, Pied Bushchat, Ashy-crowned Sparrow Lark, Indian Bushlark. 28 may'12
